General information about Marbella

Marbella is a city in the province of Malaga and the region of Andalusia. It is situated in the south of Spain and has the population of around 115,000 people. Marbella is 100,000 kilometres square (62,14 miles square) and has 24 kilometres (14.19 miles) of beach. Marbella is situated 58 kilometres (36 miles) south west of Malaga and 53 kilometres (32.93 miles) south of Ronda. It lies on the coast of the Costa del Sol and is a very popular tourist destination. Within Marbella is the port town of Puerto Banus which is notoriously famous for having the residence of the rich and famous. Marbella is only 25 metres above sea level. Marbella is only 45 minutes away from Malaga´s international airport which means that it is very convenient for a holiday destination or if you need to travel a lot in your work. Marbella has everything, it has the gorgeous beaches and the trendy shops it also has the mountains and the lovely cosmopolitan atmosphere .In Marvbella you are only an hour away from the Ski slopes and also right on the beach which is good combination to have.

Marbella is in the shelter of the mountain slopes of Sierra Blanca and this makes the weather there remarkable hot, it has its own microclimate. With Marbella´s average minimum temperature being around 12 degrees Celsius and its average maximum temperatures being around 29 degrees Celsius. It has a very dry climate with on average some months not receiving any rain at all and most months only receiving around 4 to 5 days a month.
